Please read these terms carefully before placing an order with Lumen Safety. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. General

These terms and conditions govern the sale of goods by Lumen Safety ("we", "us", "our") to you, the customer. By placing an order through our website (www.lumensafety.co.nz), you agree to these terms in full.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically.

2. Products & Pricing

All prices displayed on our website are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. GST will be added at checkout.

We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, images, and pricing are accurate. However, errors may occasionally occur. If we discover an error in the price of a product you have ordered, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order.

Product availability is subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to limit quantities or discontinue products at any time.

3. Orders & Payment

By placing an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order at our discretion.

Payment is required at the time of purchase for online orders. We accept major credit/debit cards and bank transfer. Trade account customers may have alternative payment terms as agreed.

An order confirmation email will be sent once your order has been received. This does not constitute acceptance of your order — acceptance occurs when we dispatch the goods.

4. Shipping & Delivery

We ship to all New Zealand addresses. Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by courier services, weather events, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery. Please inspect goods upon receipt and report any damage within 7 days of delivery.

5. Returns & Refunds

Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery for unused items in their original packaging. Please refer to our Shipping & Returns page for the full returns process.

Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 are not affected by these terms. If a product is faulty, not fit for purpose, or does not match its description, you are entitled to a remedy under New Zealand consumer law.

6. Trade Accounts

Trade accounts are available to approved businesses. Credit terms, pricing, and conditions will be outlined in a separate trade account agreement. We reserve the right to modify credit terms or suspend trade accounts at any time.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with the supply of goods is limited to the replacement of the goods, the supply of equivalent goods, or a refund of the purchase price.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss or damage arising from the use of our products, except where such liability cannot be excluded under New Zealand law.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of Lumen Safety and is protected by New Zealand and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our written permission.

9. Privacy

We collect and use personal information in accordance with our privacy practices and the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ). Information you provide when placing an order is used to fulfil your order, communicate with you, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from these terms or the sale of goods will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
